Bonedle: Domino Logic Puzzle (“Bonedle”, “the app”) is a puzzle game for Android. It has no accounts, no sign-in and no chat, and every board is generated on your phone. This policy explains the little data the app uses.
Stored on your phone
Your progress (finished and unfinished boards, times, hints used, streaks), your settings and any friend’s time from a challenge link you opened are kept in the app’s private storage on your device. They are not sent to us. Android may include them in your device backup if you have backups turned on. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage deletes them.
Analytics
To learn which features work, the app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to record anonymous usage events, for example that a tutorial step was finished, a board was started or solved (with its difficulty, time and number of hints), a hint was used, a result was shared and which app it was shared to, or a challenge link was opened. Along with these events Firebase collects an app-instance identifier, the device model, Android version, app version, language and an approximate region derived from your IP address.
- We do not collect your name, email, contacts, precise location or the content of anything you share.
- Analytics does not use the Android advertising ID (ads may, see below).
- Analytics data is processed by Google under the Firebase privacy and security terms and kept no longer than our project’s retention setting, at most 14 months.
Ads
Bonedle is free and shows ads from Google AdMob in two places only: an optional rewarded video you can choose to watch for an extra hint or to save a streak, and at most one full-screen ad every few Unlimited puzzles. There are never ads on daily boards, while you are solving a puzzle, or during your first session, and Bonedle Plus removes the full-screen ads.
- When an ad is requested, Google receives information such as your IP address, device and app details, and, if your device allows it and you consent where consent is required, the Android advertising ID, to choose, show and measure ads and to prevent fraud.
- If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland or another place where it is required, the app asks for your consent through Google’s consent message before any ad is requested. You can change your choice at any time under Settings > Privacy choices. If you do not consent, you may see non-personalized ads.
- Ads are limited to content suitable for a general audience (rated PG or below).
- See how Google uses information from apps that use its services. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings.
Purchases
Bonedle Plus is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Google Play. We never see your payment details. The app receives only a purchase record from Google Play (the product, its state and a purchase token) to unlock Plus and to restore it when you reinstall.
Challenge links and installs
When a friend sends you a Bonedle link, the link names the board and may include your friend’s time and number of hints. If you install the app from that link’s page, Google Play passes the same board details to the app (the “install referrer”) so it can open that board on first launch. The referrer contains no personal information.
Notifications
If you turn on the daily reminder, the app schedules one local notification a day on your phone. Nothing is sent to a server to do this, and you can turn it off in the app’s Settings or in Android settings at any time.
Sharing
When you share a result, the app creates an image of your result card and passes it, with a short text, to the app you choose in Android’s share sheet. What happens next is governed by that app’s privacy policy.
This website
This website is hosted on GitHub Pages and loads its fonts from Google Fonts. As with any website, GitHub and Google receive your IP address and browser details when a page loads; see the GitHub privacy statement and Google privacy policy. The website sets no cookies and runs no analytics.
Children
Bonedle is a general-audience puzzle game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
- Reset the analytics identifier and your on-device data by clearing the app’s storage or uninstalling it.
- Turn notifications off at any time.
- Ask us about this policy or your data by opening an issue at github.com/rizqtekv/bonedle/issues.
Changes
If the app starts using data in a new way, we will update this page and the date above before that version is released.
